Da Vinci House Charity Bake Sale

Annually, each house conducts a bake sale to generate funds for their chosen charity. Da Vinci students recently organised an exceptional sale, featuring a tasty array of sweet and savoury treats, with all proceeds dedicated to supporting CanTeen.

CanTeen, an Australian not-for-profit organisation, offers free and personalised assistance to individuals aged 12-25 grappling with the impact of cancer.

School Council

QASMT's School Council convenes quarterly, uniting a dynamic and passionate group of participants, including dedicated teaching and support staff, students, parents, and representatives from our university partner (The University of Queensland).

This collaborative forum plays a pivotal role in steering the strategic course of the Academy. During the final session of 2023, I had the privilege of presenting the preliminary 2024 Annual Implementation Plan. I invited School Council members to contribute their insights, ensuring their feedback becomes an integral part of our planning process.

I extend my sincere gratitude to the School Council members for yet another year of remarkable productivity. Your commitment of time and effort is truly invaluable to QASMT, and I appreciate your ongoing dedication to our shared goals.

Parent Engagement

Collaboration between parents and teachers is integral to the success of education. This week, the Senior Leadership Team and I had the privilege of participating in a delightful parent engagement dinner, marking a wonderful occasion to celebrate another outstanding year. These gatherings are truly special, fostering strong partnerships between the school and home. I find immense joy in these moments, recognising the significant impact they have on enhancing the educational journey through shared commitment and involvement.

Thank you

I want to express my gratitude to the Kark-Levin family for their exceptional gesture in presenting QASMT with the banner below. This thoughtful gift serves as a special thank-you to 'our wonderful QASMT Teachers, House Deans, Staff, and Leadership Team, from the graduating class of 2023.' It stands as a beautiful reminder of the 2023 cohort and is a well-deserved expression of thanks to the dedicated QASMT staff who consistently do a fantastic job guiding students throughout their educational journey. I am eager to display this meaningful banner in a prominent location for everyone to enjoy.
