Harmony Week recognises diversity, inclusiveness, respect and belonging, regardless of cultural or linguistic background. This important week at QASMT highlights our zero tolerance to racial discrimination. The week of activities began with a Whole School Assembly, followed by a family picnic in the courtyard. I would like to thank our parents for joining us in the celebration, it was lovely to catch up with you all.
Throughout the week, staff and students participated in various activities including cultural games, international karaoke, international film festival and a Jerusalema dance performance. The team in the Refectory offered an international themed menu to celebrate multicultural cuisines for our students to enjoy.
Many students and staff proudly dressed in traditional clothing from their culture, and I wore my Dirndl, the traditional female attire of Southern Germany. As I reflect on this week, I am so proud to see the student initiated involvement in Harmony Week, representing the inclusiveness and diversity within our school. It truly was another wonderful celebration.
