Four Year 12 students, Fiona Chan, Harrison Price, Kaavya Jha and Isabella Juria attended the finals for the BlueShift Business Case Competition at Queensland University of Technology, Gardens Point on Saturday, 28th May 2016.
BlueShift is an Australia-wide business competition which requires analysis by a team of four students, of a real-life business and the issues affecting it. They are then required to develop and justify their solutions with 12 teams then selected to be part of the final competition. The subject business for this year was RACQ, with the issue being “Making membership more meaningful to young people”.
In the final competition our students were part of a heat of 4 teams and they were successful in making progress through this with an outstanding presentation based around digital innovation. They again performed extraordinarily well in the championship round of three teams with the eventual outcome being second place, behind Kedron High School.
Congratulations to all team members who represented QASMT with pride and dignity throughout the finals day.
