Science in Parliament – Hot Topics Briefing

On Tuesday 10 November, a group of QASMT’s best and brightest Science students had the esteemed opportunity to attend a forum including all of Australia’s chief scientists on the hot topics in Science at the moment, at Queensland’s Parliamentary Annexe. As one of only three invited schools, our students were able to spend time talking with Australia’s Chief Scientist, Professor Ian Chubb AC and Queensland’s Chief Scientist, Dr Geoff Garret AO, seeking advice about the importance of combining future STEM careers with entrepreneurship.
