National Youth Science Forum

Congratulations to Brianna Russell who has been selected to attend the 2015 National Youth Science Forum to be held 5-17 January 2015 in Canberra.

Water Polo

Congratulations to Katelyn Lamont whose team won the Trans Tasman Test Series, and received Bronze in the U16 Pan Pacific Junior Water Polo Championships.

Richmond Birdwing Butterfly project

Congratulations to past student Declan Cavanagh has been nominated for a community award for completion of a project he undertook whilst at QASMT. The project demonstrated leadership and community awareness.

Global Youth Leaders Conference

Congratulations to Jessica Owen who so impressed the people at the Global Youth Leaders Conference that she has recently been made the Australian Regional Liaison Officer for Youth Futures International.

University of Sydney Sleek Geeks Science Eureka Prize – Secondary

Congratulations to Jackson Huang has been named as a finalist in this year’s Sleek Geeks Science Eureka Prize. The Australian Museum Eureka Prizes are the country’s most comprehensive national science awards, honouring excellence in Research and Innovation, Leadership, Science Communication and Journalism, and School Science. The winner will be announced at the Australian Museum Eureka Prizes Award Dinner at the Sydney Town Hall on Wednesday 10 September.

Brisbane Schools Team Chess Tournament

Congratulations to the chess teams who competed in Term 3 Brisbane School’s Teams Chess Tournament at Anglican Church Grammar School. One of our teams (Ivan Poon, Sahil Singh, Tomin George and Rahul Mahabeer) came third out of 25 teams with Ivan Poon finishing 5th overall out of 86 players. Enan Vanniekerk, Ben McLean, Thornton Mills, Nuha Idris, Sai Valluru, George Cho, Tyrone Rebolledo and Jasper Daniels also played well.

ASMR Secondary School Quiz

Congratulations  to Jackson Huang, who won first place for Grade 12 in this year’s ASMR Secondary School Quiz. Jackson will receive a prize a certificate and gift card.
