QASMT Student to be awarded Medal Winner in Mathematics ICAS Competition

Last term, all students undertook the International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS) Mathematics Competition. The ICAS exam assesses students’ skills and knowledge across five strands. The strands are Algebra and Patterns, Chance and Data, Measures and Units, Number and Arithmetic, and Space and Geometry. Many of the strands have strong links between each other.
This year, many of our students achieved excellent results, with a number of students receiving Distinction and High Distinction certificates.
However, Yujie He, Year 12 student has achieved outstanding results, gaining the top score in the state in Mathematics:
In recognition of this, Yujie will be the recipient of a UNSW medal. This is an incredible achievement and he will be invited to attend a Medal Presentation Ceremony on Saturday, 3 December at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. Congratulations Yujie!
