Year 12 Student Emily Sun receives Peter Doherty Award

Emily Sun has been recognised for her very high level of achievement in Biology and Chemistry, and for her outstanding participation in extracurricular science activities, with a Peter Doherty Outstanding Senior Science Student Award. The Honourable Kate Jones MP announced Emily’s receipt of this prestigious award on her recent visit to QASMT. Emily will be presented with her award at a function at Customs House with other Peter Doherty award winners in October.

The value of the award is $5000, which Emily can use to undertake STEM focused tertiary courses, attend conferences or events that extend her experiences in STEM, undertake research projects or purchase equipment that will further enhance her development in the field of science, technology, engineering or mathematics. We congratulate Emily on receiving this award.
