QASMT teacher, Dr Kirsten Hogg has been awarded Highly Commended, by the Prime Minister's Prizes for Excellence in Science Teaching in Secondary Schools.
Warmest congratulations to QASMT physics teacher, Dr Kirsten Hogg, who has been recognised for her excellence in science teaching by The Australian Academy of Science. Dr Hogg demonstrates her passion for physics through engaging lessons, clubs, Astronomy nights, research projects and physics toys, and is an advocate for female participation in physics and STEM. Dr Hogg comes from an academic background with published research in physics education research and has co-written a Physics textbook. She is a member of teaching and learning networks at local, national and international level, and in 2016 she received the Queensland College of Teachers Excellence in Science Teaching Award. We are very fortunate to have Dr Hogg on our QASMT staff to share her infectious enthusiasm for Physics with our students.
