The Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) program offers students a dynamic range of opportunities to explore their passions, discover new interests, and extend their horizons beyond the classroom. Exclusively held every Friday from 2:00pm to 2:45pmthe CCA program allows students to engage in a diverse array of activities that foster personal growth and creative expression.

Through participation in CCA, students develop new skills, overcome challenges, and connect with like-minded peers. The program is designed to enrich school life, helping students discover hidden talents and passions, form lasting connections with peers and staff, and maximize their potential in both personal and academic development. The program promotes personal responsibility through service projects, strengthens relationships with the community, and encourages students to step outside their comfort zones.

A new CCA schedule is developed each semester, offering fresh and exciting opportunities for student engagement throughout the year. While many CCAs are updated each semester to reflect student interest and seasonal activities, some run across the entire academic year to support sustained involvement and deeper skill development.

Please note that due to program structure, parents are only able to sign their child up for one CCA each semester.

Extension Co-Curricular Activity Program

As part of the school's Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) program, The Queensland Academy of Science Mathematics and Technology is proud to offer a range of extension programs designed to nurture and extend the unique talents of our students. These programs provide advanced learning opportunities that empower students to explore their passions, excel in their chosen fields, and reach their full potential. Whether your child is gifted in science, mathematics, or technology, or demonstrates exceptional ability in other areas, our specialist programs are tailored to support their growth and success in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Please note that positions in these programs are limited, as many students may continue their enrolment from the previous year. However, we strongly encourage all interested students to apply, as new spots often become available, including a number of places specifically for Year 7 students. We remain committed to providing opportunities for as many students as possible to benefit from these exceptional learning experiences. If your child is successful in enrolling into one of our extension programs, this will count as their one CCA, as per our program structure.

Please be aware that participation in these extension programs may involve associated costs to cover materials, resources, external facilitators, or event participation. Full details will be provided upon program confirmation.
