Leadership Review Symposium

On Tuesday, the leadership team came together to review, reflect and celebrate their amazing achievements this year. The day fostered a collaborative and interactive approach to examine the schools AIP to ensure we are progressing and aligning with the implementation of the plan. At the end of the day, I felt extremely inspired and proud to work alongside these passionate leaders.

German Gingerbread Houses

In anticipation of the festive season, our MYP German students took on a delightful project decorating Gingerbread Houses with a range of colourful icings and sweets. Guided by the traditional German custom of holiday gingerbread, students tapped into their creativity, crafting and decorating the gingerbread houses before getting to enjoy their tasty creations. This hands-on activity gave students a fun cultural insight into German Christmas traditions while indulging in some delicious treats as they celebrated the festive spirit together.

Japan Super Science Fair

Three of our Year 11 students, Claire, Katherine, and Jessica, have had an exciting opportunity this week as they attended the Japan Super Science Fair (JSSF) in Kyoto. They have been immersed in international scientific collaboration, presenting their research projects to students and educators from around the globe.

Our students proudly hosted an Australian Cultural stand, offering visitors samples of iconic Australian foods including Vegemite and Tim Tams, showcasing a glimpse of Australian delicacies.

In addition to their presentations, the students are experiencing a range of scientific activities and presentations from their international peers, gaining valuable insights and making connections with like-minded young scientists.

Da Vinci Dessert Bar

Da Vinci House hosted a dessert bar in the courtyard on Thursday, transforming the space into a sweet oasis to raise funds for children affected by cancer. Students and staff enjoyed fresh pancakes, ice creams, and sundaes, with all proceeds going to charity.

The event not only offered a delicious break but also served as a heartfelt reminder of our commitment to supporting important causes. A huge thank you to Da Vinci House for their dedication to making a difference, one dessert at a time.
