“The rigour of the IB diploma has taught me the importance of not just studying hard but also studying smart by using targeted learning. Hence, QASMT helped me build a strong academic skill set (especially with higher level maths and physics) - critical for my Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.

Academics aside, my significant involvement in leadership roles such as the Director of Science Ambassadors and the Alumni Tutoring Coordinator has really refined my soft skills. These communication and leadership skills have led to engineering industry experience in Japan and an aerospace internship position.”

Clint graduated from the University of Queensland with a degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and currently works full time for The University of New South Wales Canberra Space, at the Australian National Concurrent Design Facility.

Clint was named Australia’s 2021 Graduate of the Year for the SpaceConnect Australian Space Awards. His work in launching two cube-satellites and his thermal engineering expertise at UNSW Canberra earned him this accolade. Clint is now working on a new satellite - The Australian Space Agency’s first funded satellite mission, ‘Spirit.’
