Congratulations to our five Year 10 students who recently competed in the gen(in) state innovation challenge at UQ. Ten teams were selected from a competitive field of 100 teams state wide and two teams selected were from QASMT, which is a great achievement. We are very proud of our students' selection and the wonderful, professional way they represented the Academy during the competition.
The gen[in] student innovation challenge supports Queensland students build real world skills, make lifelong connections and provides them with the chance to win a share of a $15,000 prize pool. This project is co-funded by Trade and Investment Queensland, and is supported by a consortium of organisations led by UQ. The gen[in] finals event is the finale of the gen[in] challenge. Whilst our students did not place in the finals, we are enormously proud of their achievement, and how they pitched their idea to the panel of judges and audience.
Congratulations students for your dedication and selection to the finals in this highly competitive event.
