On Saturday 15 October Year 9 student Katie B, competed at the Queensland School Sport 13-19 years State Championships and placed 2nd in the 14 years girls 3000m racewalk.
This result sees Katie qualify as a member of the Queensland School Sport Representative State team. Which means Katie will represent Queensland for a second year in a row, competing at the Australian All Schools Track and Field Championships in Adelaide in December.
