On Tuesday 9 August our Year 12 Visual Arts students celebrated the culmination of their Diploma Program course with their Exhibition Opening. The Exhibition is their final assessment and worth 40% of their final grade. Each student presents a body of work with 10 resolved artworks in a variety of media in response to a chosen conceptual focus.
The exhibition is a wonderful opportunity for students to curate their own exhibition and present the toil of 18 months of work to their family, friends and the QASMT community.
Ms Johnson, the 2022 cohort teacher said “It is always a joyous and proud moment to see the students at their exhibition opening. Being able to interact with an audience, answer questions and talk about their creative process, puts all of the hard work into perspective. They see the power of art, how visual storytelling can communicate an idea, connect with individuals and change the way people think about topics or issues".
The exhibition will be available for students to view for the remainder of the term.
