Junior Winter Gala Day
Our Junior Winter Gala Day was a fantastic success, with our Middle Year's students demonstrating their skills and sportsmanship in a series of soccer matches against other schools. The day was filled with excitement and competitive spirit as our young athletes gave their best on the field.
We are incredibly proud of our students for their determination, teamwork and school spirit. Each game showcased their skills and ability to support one another, both on and off the field. Congratulations to all the participants for their outstanding effort, and for representing our school with such pride and enthusiasm. A special thank you to the coaches and staff who helped organise and support the event, ensuring everything ran smoothly.
Business Picture Classroom Visit
I had the pleasure of visiting our Year 10 "Show Me the Money" class, which is aligned with the Diploma Programme of Business Management. Earlier in the term, these students attended an exciting excursion to The University of Queensland, where they worked on developing unique business ideas to address sustainability challenges in our world.
During my classroom visit, I had the opportunity to witness the culmination of their efforts as they delivered their 3 - 4 minute 'elevator' pitches in groups. It was truly inspiring to see how our students have collaborated over the term, applying their creativity and business acumen to propose innovative solutions.
I provided feedback on their pitches, and I must say, I was incredibly impressed by their professionalism and the depth of their ideas. Our students demonstrated not only a strong understanding of business principles but also a genuine commitment to making a positive impact on the environment. Congratulations to all the students for their hard work and dedication!
Happy Holidays
As we wrap up the term, I want to extend my best wishes to all of our parents, students and staff. This term our staff and students have worked hard, achieved big, celebrated various wins, and enjoyed many memorable moments. I hope you all take some time to relax, recharge, and enjoy time with loved ones.
We look forward to welcoming students and staff back for the start of Term 3 on Monday 8 July.
