Year 10 and 11 Exam Block

This week, our Year 10 and Year 11 students have been fully immersed in their exam block. With a variety of subjects to cover, students have been diligently working through their assessments, demonstrating their knowledge and skills across the board. This period is crucial as it not only evaluates their understanding of the term's content, it further prepares them for the rigor of their final years in school. We commend all our students for their hard work and dedication during this demanding week and wish them the best of luck as they complete their exams.

Wear It Purple Day

On Thursday, our school proudly celebrated Wear It Purple Day, an event dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for LGBTQIA+ youth. The courtyard was a vibrant display of purple, with students and staff coming together to show their solidarity and support.

Year 12 Conference

This week, our Year 12 students participated in a two-day conference designed to equip them with the skills and mindset needed as they prepare to finish their final year of schooling. The conference featured a series of guest speakers, including representatives from Unleashing Personal Potential, who led workshops focused on building growth mindsets, grit, and leadership skills. These sessions provided valuable tools to help our students develop resilience and navigate the challenges ahead.

In addition to these workshops, the conference included a session with the Hope Institute, led by Glen Gerreyn. Glen inspired students to think critically about their purpose, encouraging them to take action towards their goals and make positive, informed choices. His talk was particularly impactful, challenging students to counteract negativity and to approach their futures with confidence and clarity.

The conference also featured practical sessions on road safety, led by RACQ, and a presentation by the Red Frogs team, who emphasised the importance of looking out for each other, especially in social settings.

Students had the opportunity to participate in a hands-on First Aid and CPR training course, ensuring they are prepared for any emergencies they might face.

Overall, the two days culminated in precious time spent with House Deans, where students finalised their IB exam preparation plans. The conference will conclude with an exciting trip to Movie World next week, offering a well-deserved break before our students dive into their final preparations for the IB exams.
