King's Birthday Public Holiday
Monday was the King's Birthday Public Holiday, and I hope everyone enjoyed the well-deserved rest. Whether you spent the day relaxing, catching up on things, or just enjoying some downtime, I trust it was a refreshing start to the week!
Semi-Formal
Last Friday night, our Year 11 students celebrated their Semi-Formal at the stunning Victoria Park. The evening was filled with laughter, dancing, and plenty of photo opportunities as students arrived dressed to impress. The venue's twinkling lights and picturesque backdrop added to the magic of the night, creating unforgettable memories for all who attended. It was a wonderful way to mark the start of Term 4 and kick off the final stretch of the year. A huge thank you the House Deans involved in organising the event and making it such a memorable night for our Year 11s!
Oktoberfest
Tuesday saw our lively Oktoberfest celebrations take over the Agnesi Laneway! The courtyard was buzzing with energy as students and staff participated in traditional German dancing and games. The festivities were a hit, giving everyone a fun and culturally rich break from the usual routine. A big thank you to everyone who took part in the celebrations and helped bring a bit of Germany to QASMT!
Miskin Cup Debating
On Wednesday, students from Years 10 to 12 travelled across the road to BBC to compete in the Miskin Cup Debating round. It was a thrilling match-up, and I'm proud to announce that QASMT came out on top, marking our second win of the year against BBC! Earlier this year, we triumphed in soccer, and now with debating added to our tally, we're eagerly awaiting the final event in the series—volleyball. Stay tuned to see if we can claim victory in all events against our neighbouring school this year!
Year Level Assemblies
This week, each year group gathered for their Year Level Assemblies during Instep sessions. These assemblies provided an opportunity for students to reconnect after the holidays and discuss important updates and expectations for the term ahead. House Deans shared insights on upcoming events, academic goals, and reminders for maintaining wellbeing throughout Term 4. Students also had the chance to reflect on their achievements from last term and set personal goals for the final stretch of the year. It was a productive and energising way to start the term!
